Win Art Contest

7th grader - R'Daizyja Bell
The above named students submitted posters for the Clark-Atlanta University WEB DuBois Commemorative Symposium.
Dr. Jaymes Taylor, Brown Middle School’s art teacher, facilitated participation in the contest. The students placed in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Their artwork was reviewed by the descendants of Dr. DuBois, Dr. Charles Drew, Madame C.J. Walker and Ida B.Wells-Barnett.
The posters were replicated as postcards and sold at the symposium to net Brown Middle School not only commendation, but $250.00.
The postcards can still be purchased, $5 for all three or $2 each. The Hammonds House Museum will stock them for year round sales.
