Educational Philosophy

The area of Media Library Science requires that students “make meaning”.  A huge part of my intense love for books and reading emanates from concept of ‘making meaning’. The earliest stage of an emergent reader is one of the most fascinating events to observe.  It has become my goal to instill the love of reading in students through helping them make meaning and become lifelong readers.  This horizon has broadened with the vast inclusion of technology.  While making meaning is the essential goal, students must be able to make meaning while learning to access information and use it wisely
