Special Projects enhance existing after-school programs with academics, recreation and/or enrichment components.  The following describes great opportunities that our students can participate in during after-school programs:
 
FERNBANK MUSEUM - City Scientist After-School Program:  This is an outreach after-school program with science content for students in grades 3 - 5.  It is held at the school for 2 weeks, with students visiting the Museum on the last day of the program.  Fernbank Museum staff serves as instructors for the participating 15 elementary schools.

ATLANTA BOTANICAL GARDENS' AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM:  This is a 4 week, 4 day a week, Environmental After-School Program for students in grades 3 - 5, held at the Gardens.  The content area is science.  The Gardens' staff serves as instructors for seven participating elementary schools.

HIGH MUSEUM OF ART:  This is an after-school program for students in grades 3 - 5.  This three week program is held 4 days a week - one day at the school and 3 days at the Museum.  The content includes reading, writing, math and art.  The High Museum of Art staff serves as instructors for six participating elementary schools.
