Goodwin Welcome to Coan Middle School, home of the Panthers.  I am your Interim Principal Leah Goodwin, where I will continue to uphold the vision to develop SCHOLARS! It is important to note that one of the easiest ways to help develop our SCHOLARS is to begin with a uniform school.  Current research indicates that students in schools that institute school uniforms are less distracted and more focused on learning. To this end, the wearing of uniforms will be strictly enforced. Your continued support of this initiative is vital in setting the tone of academic excellence at Coan.

Coan, the first middle school in the state of Georgia boast 40+ years of academic accomplishments.  Currently, we are home to the Confucius Institute and Graduation Generation where our students continue to be exposed to excellent programs. I am extremely excited about serving as interim principal of Coan Middle School. It is my vision that we will continue to be the best climbers of the ladder of academic success.  We will facilitate an environment that uses best practices to develop rigorous, engaging and nurturing lessons for all learning modalities.
