My name is Papillon Little and I look forward to serving as Fickett Elementary School’s IB Specialist. I am a lifelong native of Atlanta, Georgia and graduate of the Atlanta Public Schools District. After graduating from Henry Grady High School, I attended Morris Brown College and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have served as an educator for Atlanta Public Schools since 2003 teaching 1st grade, 2nd grade, and the STEM Lab. During that time, I have acquired my Master’s Degree and Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
I look forward to assisting the staff in increasing the students’ progress through our new International Baccalaureate Model. This year, the IB curriculum and instruction will consist of more project based and problem based learning activities. The IB lessons will also reflect the learner profiles and attitudes that students should possess to achieve their maximum level of performance. Our school will also continue to support student's with our annual Science Fair to help the student’s practice implementing the scientific method through the IB Learner Model.
Thank you for your support and commitment to helping our students!
Mr. Papillon Little, Ed.S
