Welcome to Benjamin E. Mays High School’s

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT PAGE

This Parent Resource Section is designed as a “one-stop” shop to inform you of where you can find helpful information to ensure your child’s learning experience is successful and well-rounded here at Benjamin E. Mays High School. Title I requires that 1% of the Title I budget be used towards parental involvement.  Attending district-wide and Title I workshops, seminars, and annual school events/activities will help parents/guardians achieve this goal.

The Title I Parent Resource Center and the Mays Administration would like to thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.  We believe that partnering with parents, families and the community is essential to the over-all success of your student.

Please feel free to come by and complete our Title I Parent Involvement Survey. You can also download a copy of the form here - Survey .   The Atlanta Public Schools' Title I Parent Involvement Survey is used to gain parental opinions as it relates to our schools. Through the use of the Involvement Survey, regularly scheduled meetings, phone calls, information sessions during parent conference meetings, PTSA meetings, and district parent meetings, our parents are encouraged to participate.  Particularly, the information obtained from the surveys given to parents at Mays High School is used to assist us in the following:

Improving parental services, providing more opportunities for parents to volunteer, actively engaging parents in the process of making decisions about their child’s education, designing a calendar of events to enhance parental involvement, and informing parents about Title I guidelines and resources available.
