to Theater Arts!!! As Theater Arts teacher here at Inman Middle School, my goal is to help each student develop to the best of their potential toward excellence in the areas of drama and dance with a select ensemble. I am motivated by being part of students’ theatrical arts development and take pride in seeing the life skills that students develop out of being part of this group.

Your input and comments are appreciated. CLASS PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES This course will introduce the introductory levels of the acting process. The course stresses developing imagination, observation, concentration powers, self-awareness, self-presence, and self-discipline. The students will develop physical and vocal control while transmitting emotions, convictions and ideas, enhancing self-confidence and self-awareness. Student performance will focus on classical, historical, modern, and improvisational scene study. By the end of the quarter/semester, the student will be required to participate in the acting process – via performance, set design, script writing, vocal techniques, etc. Course
