Charles L. Gideons is special because it is a school with open hearts, open arms and an open door.  The administration and staff, have high expectations for each and every student, truly demonstrating that no child should be left behind. Students are valued and expectations for high achievement are evident.

 

Gideons is located in Atlanta’s historic Pittsburgh community near the Atlanta University Center. The student body is made up of approximately 546 students (K-5) and 60 students (Pre-K). Gideons Elementary School is singularly dedicated to the goal of educating children, and its accomplishments toward that goal are many and worthy of tribute.
