Dear Sutton Families:
Today the Georgia Department of Education released the latest College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) results for our school as well as for all of Atlanta Public Schools.
CCRPI is the statewide education accountability system that measures schools and districts on a 100-point scale based on a combination of performance on the state’s Georgia Milestones assessments, progress and achievement gap. The CCRPI score helps parents and the public understand how schools are performing compared to others in the district and state.
According to the state report, our school scored 74.2. For previous CCRPI reports, we scored 79.1 in 2015 and 78.7 in 2014.
We are proud of your children and strive every day to give them the instruction and guidance they need to achieve and have choice-filled lives. We are committed to continue to work so these scores and other measurements increase.
I am working directly with our school GO Team, our Building Leadership Team, and district personnel to assure a full analysis of these results and targeted interventions to assist our students who show learning obstacles. The entire Sutton staff will continue to plan and deliver instruction aligned to our standards and Milestone expectations. We will implement additional services including tutoring, specialized classroom strategies, and remediation to assure that all students have access to supports in order to show their highest potential on this year’s Milestone tests.
I will be discussing our CCRPI and that data within the score at my upcoming Principal Coffees. In addition, I am available to discuss these scores and other matters of importance to you, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you should have any questions. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
